Garden Camp and After School Program Counselor

San Francisco Botanical Garden is extending its popular Garden Camp summer program into the school year with an After School Program (ASP) and Garden Camp (Camp) sessions during Thanksgiving and Winter school breaks. The ASP and Camp sessions will serve children in grades K-5 with all-outdoor programming that focuses on educational and positive social-emotional development with peers in nature. ASP and Camp sessions will connect children to plants through a combination of structured, themed activities and open-ended time to develop curiosity, initiative, imagination, and creativity. Curriculum will revolve around four main themes; gardening, art, wellness, and ecology.

Counselors are members of the Learning and Engagement Department, report to the Director of Learning and Engagement and work closely with the ASP Coordinator or Garden Camp Director.
